At the 5th Nordic Conference on Climate Change Adaptation, NOCCA, the participants will highlight, discuss and be inspired by Nordic adaptation solutions. The three-day meeting in the beautiful City of Norrköping is aimed at increasing knowledge of the latest climate science, discussing how to integrate solutions for adaptation and mitigation and exchanging ideas of adaptation methods and opportunities across many sectors.

Mistra Geopolitics co-director Åsa Persson and Mistra Geopolitics Researchers Henrik Carlsen and Kevin Adams, will present a session titled:

The Nordic countries and the world

The consequences of climate change will be acutely felt in areas where water shortages, cyclones and high temperatures are already common. As a result, migration may increase, and the import of certain produce will be affected. There is a risk of conflict when countries strive to assure access to strategic resources. As our chains of production are very globalised, climate change may affect the production of many different goods and services.

The session addresses you who want to know more about how your municipality or your company’s business can be affected by the impact of climate change in other parts of the world. It is  aimed at those who want to learn more about how their city, business or activity is affected by the effects of climate change in other parts of the world.

Date: Wednesday, October 24th
Time: 13.00-16.15
Location: Trozellirummet
