Donald Trump or Joe Biden? How will the result of the American presidential election affect global climate and environmental policy? What environmental issues really drive the two candidates, and what aftershocks can we expect when one of them emerges as the victor?

Welcome to a webinar organized by Mistra, where a panel of invited experts will explain, discuss and evaluate possible consequences of the US election outcome. They will both clarify national and geopolitical repercussions if Trump remains in the White House and examine Biden’s environmental and climate proposals — and his actual scope for action.

The webinar, in English, will be held on Zoom.

The expert panel:

Dallas Burtraw, Darius Gaskins Senior Fellow, Resources for the Future and Mistra Carbon Exit

Karl Hallding, Senior Research Fellow, Stockholm Environment Institute and Mistra Geopolitics

Karin Bäckstrand, Professor at Stockholm University and Mistra Geopolitics

Moderator:

Erika Bjerström, climate correspondent, Sveriges Television (the Swedish public service television company).
