Welcome to a seminar on global adaptation policy organised by Mistra Geopolitics and Naturvårdsverket.

International institutions such as the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) are increasingly addressing climate risks although their mandates did not originally include climate change. However, we know little about how, when and why international institutions integrate climate adaptation issues in their mandates across policy areas such as conflict resolution, development, disaster risk management, health, human rights, and migration. In this seminar, the speakers will present their research on this issue and discuss the promises and pitfalls of integrated governance in light of the Agenda 2030.

The research is generously funded by Mistra Geopolitics and the Formas project, Glocalizing Climate Governance.

There will be coffee and mingle after the event.
