Mistras klimatspecial – webbinarieserie om COP 26, minskade utsläpp och klimatanpassning

Den senaste rapporten från FN:s klimatpanel IPCC lämnar inga tvivel. Klimatet förändras i en allt snabbare takt och sambandet mellan människans påverkan och extrema väderhändelser är tydligt. Rapporten har väckt stort engagemang och ökat trycket på de globala klimatförhandlingarna i Glasgow, COP 26, som inleds i slutet av oktober. I en serie webbinarier lyfter Mistra klimatet och forskning om minskade utsläpp, klimaträttvisa och klimatanpassning. Varmt välkomna!

Skyfall, skogsbränder och översvämningar. Extrema väderhändelser och ett förändrat klimat är inte längre ett hot vid horisonten, utan här och nu. Parallellt med utsläppsminskningar krävs forskning, förberedelse och ett fokuserat arbete för att anpassa våra samhällen, på både global och lokal nivå.

Detta frukostwebbinarium fokuserar på klimatanpassning – från IPCC-rapporten och de globala förhandlingarna under COP26 till svenska kommuners faktiska arbete, hållbar stadsplanering och vilken forskning som behövs för att stödja arbetet.
